New 10K event is a racing certainty to be successful

The Borough Council is launching a new 10K run which will take place in September. It follows the huge success of their Stafford Half Marathon.

The race will be open to a maximum of 1500 runners and will start and finish in the town's Market Square. Entries for the event will open on 20 March - the day of the half marathon - and will be closed when all the spaces are taken.

People taking part will get a specially commissioned first ever Stafford 10K medal.

The Stafford Half has increased in popularity over the years and the 2016 event has already broken records - with the highest amount of runners taking part and with all the places sold out before Christmas.
